Neil Agarwal is a transdisciplinary artist and scholar by training. He studied painting and drawing at Harvard University, where he graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics and was a David McCord Prize recipient in the creative arts. He later received a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the City University of New York Graduate Center and served as Mellon Visiting Assistant Professor in the Cultural Studies and History departments at the University of California, Davis.

His work has been exhibited at Drawing Rooms, Jersey City, NJ; Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, Narrowsburg, NY; Jack the Pelican Presents Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; the DUMBO Arts Festival, Brooklyn, NY; Artists Space, New York, NY; the Toronto International Art Fair, Toronto, Canada; Jam Jar Gallery, Dubai, UAE; ZKM Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe, Germany; Adams House Art Space, Cambridge, MA; and the Carpenter Center for Visual Arts, Cambridge, MA. His work has been reviewed in Time Out Dubai, The Khaleej Times, and the Harvard Crimson.
